As part of startuplab.01, residents receive special discounts on lab materials and reagents. Some basic reagents and/or consumables are included in the lab, and other complex reagents can be requested from the Lab Manager, who will handle quotes and purchasing.

There are opportunities to collaborate with other residents to request the potential acquisition of specialized equipment, as long as there are shared needs. These requests will be reviewed by the startuplab.01 team, and the feasibility of acquiring the equipment will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

What can you do
in this lab?

The Wet Lab enables a range of assays and procedures in molecular biology, microbiology, and analytical chemistry.

DNA/RNA extraction, quantification, and purification

Cell line culture and cell viability and density assays.

Microscopy for morphological tracking or protein expression.

Quantitative analysis of active compounds (HPLC) and enzyme kinetics.

Microbial cultures and susceptibility testing.

Bioinformatics and experimental data storage.

This does not prevent residents from bringing their own instruments, as long as they are an appropriate size for storage and do not compromise space for other residents.

The Wet Lab enables a range of assays and procedures in molecular biology, microbiology, and analytical chemistry.

DRY LAB

The Dry Lab has 505 m2 of spaces dedicated to engineering, electronics, and fabrication work for modeling, simulation, and hardware prototyping.

Work areas and equipment

Digital Fabrication Zone

This area houses 3D printers, laser cutters, and precision cutting tools. It is intended for rapid fabrication of physical components for prototypes, enabling early design iterations. It shares physical space with the electronics and modeling/simulation zones, encouraging collaboration and a continuous workflow between design, electronics, and manufacturing.

Equipped with soldering stations, a PCB mill, and electronics development kits, this zone enables the creation, modification, and testing of electronic circuits. It is spatially integrated with the digital fabrication and modeling zones, making it easier to iterate between hardware and physical design.

This area has workstations equipped with CAD design software and electronic and environmental simulation tools. It is designed for pre-fabrication design and connects directly to the electronics and digital fabrication zones to enable a complete design–build–test cycle.

A closed, independent area containing a computer numerical control machine (CNC router) for working with wood, plastics, and non-ferrous metals. Due to noise, dust, and safety requirements, it is isolated from the rest of the work areas.

A space equipped with hand tools, workbenches, and fastening and assembly elements. It is intended for assembly tasks, mechanical intervention, and fine-tuning of prototypes. It serves as a bridge between digital fabrication and functional testing of developments.

Includes storage rooms for supplies, spare parts, and materials, as well as dedicated spaces for each startup. This zone ensures internal logistics, tool safekeeping, and an organized workspace.

An area equipped with mobile furniture and audiovisual resources, designed for workshops and technical training. It can accommodate up to 24 people at the same time for hands-on or theoretical activities.

What can you do in this lab?

You can develop advanced prototypes, precision electronics, complex mechanical systems, and functional materials.

Design, modeling, and simulation of mechanical parts and assemblies, and CAD, CAM, and CAE design, modeling, and manufacturing.

Prototyping biocompatible housings for sensors.

Assembly of electronic prototypes and electromagnetic response testing on electronic boards.

Development of functional polymer microcomponents using certified materials.

Development of hybrid molds (metal/3D-printed) for injection molding.

Fabrication and assembly of prototypes embedded in IoT systems or advanced sensors.
