The selected startups\u201420 in this first call\u2014will be announced in October and can begin their residency in November at the building where Startuplab.01 will be located.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> \u201cThis residency is part of a comprehensive roadmap for <strong>startuplab.01<\/strong>, beginning with this call for startups while the building and laboratory fit-outs proceed in parallel. This ensures that once evaluated and selected, we can move into the facilities\u2014which cover approximately 4,000 m\u00b2\u2014together in November,\u201d said Francisca Contreras, Executive Director of <strong>startuplab.01<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is worth noting that <strong>startuplab.01<\/strong> will occupy four floors in Territoria Santa Luc\u00eda (formerly the Enel Tower), an architectural project that will also feature corporate offices, ecosystem hubs, an urban market, cafes, coworking spaces, and a cultural center, among others.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contreras highlighted the distinctive attributes of the residency: \u201cThis is the first time in Chile that a complete range of support for SBTEs (Science-Based Technology Enterprises) has been articulated in a single place, including laboratories, corporate linkages, specialized support programs, and access to financing opportunities. Additionally, another key element is that Startuplab.01 will not take equity in the companies participating in the residency; they will maintain full and exclusive ownership of their intellectual property.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding the laboratories, <strong>startuplab.01<\/strong> will feature nearly 1,000 m\u00b2 of specialized facilities, including Wet and Dry Labs specifically designed for deep tech startups from TRL 4-5, addressing the critical bridge between technological validation and commercialization.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both laboratories were designed based on a demand analysis of entrepreneurs through personalized interviews, surveys, and meetings, which allowed for the first-hand collection of startup needs.
